I love spending time with you in a relaxed and fun environment. We will laugh and play our way through your session and will have a great time! I believe in letting your littles be little and letting them guide our time. It's okay if everyone isn't on best behavior. We'll roll with it. The goal is authenticity and sometimes those less than perfect moments lead to some wonderful family memories during your session!

I like to let a session unfold without worrying too much about where everyone is looking or if your children are sitting just so. I don't use "Say Cheese" or beg for smiles. My goal is to capture your family as they are today, and we all know that real life isn't full of fake smiles! We do capture smiles, and laughter, and happy families. We just get there through building memories.

A great session is one where we capture the love your family has for each other and moments of pure childhood joy. I will provide plenty of prompts and games and will guide posing to ensure your session runs smoothly. Your final photos will be ones you will cherish. Relax. Breathe. Have a great time together, and I promise you will love the outcome!

The way your session is styled has a huge effect on the final outcome of your photos. Once your session date and location have been secured, we will work together to style your entire family to ensure a look that will fit the vision you have for your family photos.

I have a client closet full of ladies dresses and children's clothing as well as accessories and jewelry. It's all there for your complimentary use to take the stress out of planning. I put together custom style boards for your sessions and will even help you book an amazing hair and make up artist to help finish your look.

Whether you style from my closet, your own, purchase new items, or a combination of all of the above, I am here to help you plan!

Custom Session Styling

DON'T OVERPLAN! Our time together will fly by, especially if you booked a mini session. We will focus on capturing your family's connections and love for each other, and those interactions will happen naturally. Too many props or a list of Pinterest-inspired poses will get in the way of capturing the special place in time where your family is today.

FOLLOW YOUR CHILD'S LEAD! Once we get the important shots out of the way, you know, the ones for the grandparents with everyone looking at the camera, we can relax a little bit. My favorite images are always the ones where we allow the child to naturally explore and get into something he or she wants to do. When we let your children lead the way, they will naturally be motivated to interact and play, and this helps to bring out the wonderful natural expressions that we love. It is okay if your child isn't looking directly into the camera for every photo. Don't feel the need to redirect your child or correct behaviors. I will ask for your help if I need it, but it is okay to just let them be little!

HAVE FUN! First and foremost, getting your photos should be fun! I know it can be stressful to figure out what to wear, or figure out the best location for your family, but hopefully I have helped to take the stress out of that for you. Once photo day arrives just roll with it and know that we will get great photos of your family even if your child (or husband) is uncooperative. We will laugh and play and have so much fun that you will forget that it is picture day!
